Flame tetra

(hymphessobrycon flammeus)

A hardy colourful tetra. A great aquarium filler. Will take up a territory and defend it by nipping and swiping at nearby fish. They rarely cause mortalities but may cause slight damage to fins so keep alongside more robust species such as coin shaped tetras, barbs, danios and small cichlids.
